Terms of Service

These terms apply when you use FriYaY! (the website at friyay.co.uk and the app). FriYaY! is run by FRIYAY LTD, registered in England & Wales, Company No. 17515583 ("we", "us"). By creating an account or using FriYaY!, you agree to these terms.

1. What FriYaY! is

FriYaY! helps people discover live music and events at local venues, and helps venues and acts connect directly. We are not a booking agent, promoter or ticket seller, and we are not a party to any agreement between a venue and an act.

2. Zero booking fees

We never take a booking fee, commission or agent cut. Acts keep the fee they agree with the venue, and venues pay no agency markup. We earn only from optional promotion (Boost Tokens and the Unlimited plan). Venues and acts are responsible for agreeing their own fees, payment, and arrangements with each other.

3. Accounts

• You must be 16 or over to create an account.
• Each account is one type — Fan, Venue or Act — chosen at signup.
• Keep your login details safe. You're responsible for activity on your account.
• Information you give us must be accurate. Don't pretend to be another person, venue or act.

4. Listings and content

Venues and acts are responsible for the events, photos and text they post. Listings must be accurate, lawful, and must not infringe anyone else's rights. You keep ownership of your content, but give us permission to display and share it on FriYaY! and in promotional materials (such as flyers and share images) for the purpose of promoting your events.

We may remove content or suspend accounts that are misleading, offensive, unlawful, or that break these terms. Event details can change — always check with the venue before travelling.

5. Listings added by FriYaY! and claiming profiles

To help local scenes get started, we may list public event information and create unclaimed profiles for venues and acts. The real venue or act can claim their profile for free. We check claims before approving them and may ask for proof, such as a message from an official social media account or a call to a public phone number. If you'd like a listing changed or removed, email ed@friyay.co.uk.

6. Boost Tokens and the Unlimited plan

• Posting events is free. New Venue and Act accounts get free Boost Tokens on signup (5, or 10 if invited by a Fan). Fan accounts don't use tokens.
• 1 Boost Token features 1 upcoming gig in the Spotlight for up to 4 days, ending the morning after the gig at the latest. Posting gigs and using the Gig Board is always free.
• A single Boost costs £3 and a pack of 5 Boost Tokens costs £10. Tokens have no cash value, can't be transferred, and don't expire while your account is open.
• The Unlimited plan costs £10 per month, renews automatically, and includes unlimited Boosts and monthly Fan Insights. You can cancel any time; it stays active until the end of the paid month.
• Prices include VAT where applicable. Payments are handled securely by our payment provider.

7. Cancellations and refunds

Under UK consumer law you normally have 14 days to cancel a digital purchase. By using tokens or Unlimited features straight away, you agree that this right ends once you start using them. Unused token packs can be refunded within 14 days of purchase — just email us. This doesn't affect your statutory rights.

8. Fan privacy

Fans' follows, saved events and identities are private by default. Venues and acts only see anonymous, combined insights. See our Privacy Policy.

9. Our liability

We provide FriYaY! "as is" and can't guarantee it will always be available or error-free. We aren't responsible for events themselves, cancellations, or agreements between venues, acts and fans. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law, such as for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud. Otherwise, our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

10. Closing your account

You can stop using FriYaY! and ask us to delete your account at any time. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms.

11. Changes

We may update these terms. If changes are significant, we'll let you know in the app or by email before they take effect.

12. Law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. If you live elsewhere in the UK, you can also bring claims in your local courts.
